I feel that the ability to embed ChatZilla within the Mozilla Browser would be a
great feature for Mozilla. There are two major reasons for this:

People can debug their website, or other peoples websites over IRC without
needing to flick between Mozilla, ChatZilla and their editor if it is their own
site.

With the irc:// urls, it would be good for people to be able to chat to others
on a website, without needing to actually flick betweem ChatZilla and the
Mozilla browser, allowing them to carry on surfing the website and interacting
with other visitors.

If you look at the url in the example url
(http://pixelated-dreams.com/~davey/moz_cz_embed.png) you will see that I have
doctored a screenshot to show what I think would be the most practical way to
approach this...

You will notice, I use a horinzontal rule, like those in Mozilla Mail, or on the
Sidebar for resizing or for hiding entirely. Also I have removed the channel
information from the toggleable area in the chat window, this was unnecessary
clutter, perhaps it could be moved into the status bar somewhere? like add
another section such as the loading progress bar. Also I made it so the
toggleable area only shows one line of the topic when minimised (as opposed to
nothing) and it would show the entire topic (and perhaps the channel info stuff
could go in there too?) when opened.

I hope that you consider this request, as I feel it will greatly improve
ChatZillas worth.

Well, currently you can already open chatzilla in a tab and in the sidebar. I
think that's about as far as things will go. (make a bookmark to
chrome://chatzilla/content/, and set it to open in the sidebar, or a tab)

Note that these methods of using chatzilla aren't fully supported either, they
may be buggy.
Actually docking to any window is beyond the scope of ChatZilla, IMHO.

If an extension author wanted to write something to do it, they're welcome to.
