198932 - Mozilla hangs when trying to create new mail / responding to mail

When I'm trying to create a new mail or a response to a mail in my inbox, 
Mozilla hangs. I'm using Mozilla 1.2.1 and Enigmail 0.71 here at university. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mozilla Mail 
2. Create new mail - Mozilla hangs 
Actual Results:  
As seen above ;-) Mozilla hangs 

Expected Results:  
It should have opened a new window so that I could write an e-mail :-) 

Mozilla was working fine (also with Enigmail) until I closed it end re-opened  
it. Since then, I am not able to create any mails.

do you still hang after deleting XUL.mfl (profiles directory) ?
1.3 doesn't have this issue anymore, upgrade recommended.

Just had the same problem using Windows 1.3a (2002/12/12 build). Mozilla Mail
suddenly stopped working without any change in installed version or
configuration (as far as I know). And just deleting a 2.5M XUL.mfl file did fix it.

Bertrand, this was supposed to be fixed in 1.3 builds (bug 169777), any chance
you can recover your deleted XUL.mfl file ? This could be useful for bug 184204.

I was not able to find XUL.mfl on the university linux account, but I removed my
profile and added a new one and that fixed the problem.

Reopening to mark WFM as no specific patch fixed this bug.
