Every once in a while I'll notice the get messages button is greyed out when it
shouldn't be (I have my inbox highlighted).  I have to highlight something other
than my inbox, and then highlight my inbox again before I can press the get
messages button.

That is one very old build yo have there, and this bug was fixed long ago.
Please read the bugzilla bug-reporting guidelines. The guideline requests that
users should be able to reproduce a bug with a build no more than three days old
before reporting it.
