User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 When a user want to highlight the entire URL at the top of the Browser a triple click is required in Mozilla 1.3. Also when a double click is performed in the white space after the url the last part of the url is selected. Once the last part of the URL is selected then the URL can not be selected by dragging your mouse with the left mouse button held down (All of the URL must be un-highlighted to do this. With the URL http://www.amdzone.com/ the slash at the end will be highlighted on a double click then the url can not be highlighted by dragging the mouse. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type in www.yahoo.com and press enter key allowing page to load. 2. Double click in URL box in the white space after the URL. 3. Then try to highlight URL by dragging mouse with left mouse button held down. If the slash at the end is selected you can not highlight the url. Actual Results: Can not select URL with a double click. Can not highlight url with mouse drag with left button held down when end of url is selected. Expected Results: 1. Double click should highlight entire URL. 2. Dragging mouse with left button held down should allow highlighting of URL even if end part of URL (The slash) is selected.
This is by deliberate design. See bug 197613. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 197613 ***
