When i update McAfee VirusScan Professional Edition 7 Mozilla stops working, so
i have to completely close Mozilla (navigator and mail) and restart it again
(when i have quick lauch it is done automagically, of course). Then i can surf
again.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have Mozilla running.
2.When you got a new update from McAfee VirusScan Professional Edition 7 accept it.
Actual Results:
Mozilla stops working and you can't surf anymore until you completely restart it
again.
Expected Results:
Continue working so i can continue surfing.
I'm using Modern Theme but i didn't test if it stops working with Classic too.
I'll test it on next update from McAfee.
Hello, are you still having this problem with McAfee virusscan causing Mozilla
to stop working in newer versions? If so, does it also cause any other internet
software to stop working (instant messenger, non-Mozilla e-mail programs,
internet explorer, etc)? Thanks for any new information.
Mozilla 1.5 doesn't crash when i updated McAfee VirusScan Professional Edition
7, it seems to be a problem with previous versions of Mozilla, now it works fine.
PS: I have changed this bug state to Fixed :D

We're now tracking such bugs. This doesn't mean it's something we can fix, merely something we hope to be able to point vendors to so they can investigate. This is an automated message.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/
If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
