unable to turn off syntax highlighting on OS X. found using 2003.03.31 on mac 10.2.4. not a problem on win2k or linux rh8.0. 1. load any web page, eg, http://mozilla.org. 2. open the source window (eg, cmd+U). 3. select View - Syntax Highlighting to turn it off. results: the syntax remains colored, and its menu item retains the checkbox. no js console output either. this isn't bug 132584, since i'm using the "always use the web page's colors" pref. did this ever work on OS X? it doesn't seem to work in a cfm build from 1/14 (which rules out a mach-o vs cfm issue).
Confirmed in build 2003032908 on Mac OSX 10.2.4 Bug 129612 and/or bug 160924 should have removed the menu-item ...
Tested again, and this now works for me. Must have been fixed a while ago. Build 2003102805 (= 1.6a) on Mac OS X 10.2.8
