Now that 26288 is fixed making more fonts available for Composer, an idea built
on this bug fix: A "Customize..." option on the drop-down font menu on the
HTML Message Composer giving the option to customize the font list. This will
allow users to select their preferred fonts for composing email but should not
have the same performance hit as if all fonts were always available. (A user
theoretically could have all fonts in the menu but it's their choice if they
want the message composer to take longer to load.)

Great Idea! This also affects Editor:composer for composing web pages.
It would also be nice to have certain "web safe" fonts (most sources list Comic
Sans, Georgia, Verdana, Tahoma, and Trebuchet) in the top of the list by
default, along with Arial/Helvetica, Times and Courier, and then the ability to
add to that list.
My system has Hundreds of fonts, but I would like a small list 95% of the time.
