I can't send newsgroup articles througth our news server (news.uni-giessen.de).
Sequence:
1. Create news account, new server=news.uni-giessen.de
2. Open mailer window
3. New Msg
4. Fill meassage, select Newsgroup:comp.unix.solaris
5. send

response in a error requester:

Posted to netscape.test on news.mozilla.org which is my default news server.
Posted both a new message and a reply successfully.

news://news.uni-giessen.de/comp.unix.solaris

instead of just comp.unix.solaris

and let me know if that works.

moving to m13.  not sure what the problem is yet, but since we can post from
linux, not a m12 stopper.
Maybe it's a problem with our news server. I don't think that there's a
difference between Linux && Solaris...

when composing your news post, instead of attempting to post to
comp.unix.solaris, type in news://news.uni-giessen.de/comp.unix.solaris

Sending news with news://news.uni-giessen.de/comp.unix.solaris works like a
charm, see news:comp.unix.solaris for my small "Mozilla 5 test - ignore"
posting...
