200617 - "Use encryption when available" makes browser hang

I downloaded 1.3 and it crashed (lost important work) when I was sending out mail.
It used to work ok under 1.3b
Then I installed 1.4a and the same - it crashed when sending out mail.
I have SMTP to use password. 
And I had Use encryption when available.
Removing that last option to "Never use encryption" eliminated the problem.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
Program got into Not Responding state. had to end the task and
restart.


I haven't tried the same on Linux yet. I think I used 1.3 OK
on Linux.
