Attempting to view this page drains system resources to <10%. Sits >1m

Gecko/20030312, and Phoenix: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3a)
Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Mozilla
2.Paste url and hit enter
3.

Actual Results:
"System resources are dangerously low"

Expected Results:
Loaded page without error. IE5.50 loads page without error.

Everything default. System is W98SE K6-2/450, 256M RAM.
Possibly related to having moderator status on slashdot, thus a zillion little
moderate boxes. Actually, it turns out IE suffers the same problem, but only
when I reload the page.
Is this related to bug 32669?
Yes, probably related to bug 32669 (comment #14). Happens on other slashdot
pages with >300 comments and moderator widgets. There really needs to be a way
to prevent web pages from doing this.
