This is related to bug 19972.

When you type some Japanese characters in Composer and close Composer without committing the characters,
you cannot type anything after you open Comoser again.

Steps of reproduce
1. Open Composer
2. Turn on IME to type some Japanese characters (at this time, do not hit enter to commit the characters)
3. Close Composer
4. Open Composer
5. Try to type Japanese characters in new Composer

Notice that you cannot type any Japanese characters.

Tested 112308 Win32 build under Windows 98J. This works fine under Winnt 4.0J.

You can commit then restart. Painful, but doable. bobj, here and agrees that
this can be worked around. Putting on PDT- radar.

This is not reproduciable in 2000011008 Win32 under Win98J, Winnt4.0J, and
Win95J.

The behavior is following.
When you type Japanese (not commit yet) and close the Composer window, the
uncommitted Japanese characters will be committed.
I mark this bug to Worksforme.
