User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
When using Copy and Paste to generate a similar event:
the Start and End Times should be preserved (as it is when dragged).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. copy an event
2. paste it to a new day
Actual Results:
1. the time-part (second box) of the Start field is initialized to the
*current* time.
2. the time-part of the End field is initialized to one hour later than
the current time. Furthermore, if this operation is done after
11pm, the date-part of the End field is set to the day *after* the
Start date.
Expected Results:
1. the time-part of the Start field should be the same as it was in the
copied event.
2. similarly for the End field.
When an event is *dragged* from one day to another, the behavior is
*correct*. So "Paste" should look more like "Drag", in this regard.

Confirmed, on latest Linux/x86, and older Solaris/SPARC 20030318.
In addition, the following fields of an event are not [always] copied/pasted:
o lasts all day toggle
o multi-day (ie end day != start day)
o category
o calendar file
I tihnk all of these need to be copied/pasted.

If Len doesn't mind, I'll take the liberty of updating the Summary.
My comment #2 about multi-day might need explaining: if I have an event that
spans 2 days, e.g. start day 10th, end day 11th, and I copy the event, and paste
it onto the 20th, I would expect to get a 2-day event spanning 20th/21st.
currently I get a 1-day event only on the 20th.
Summary: event Paste should preserve Start and End times from the event Copy → event Paste should preserve settings (time, category, calendar file) from the event Copy
