User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:148.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/148.0
Steps to reproduce:
-Select text on web page
-drag it into the search bar
Actual results:
Search is executed immediately
Expected results:
- I should be able to select the search engine before search
- I should be able to edit my dragged text before search
- the dragged text should "wait" for further edits / added content / be kept as reminder for me without any action

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

We're going to discuss this with the user experience team.
One thing to note, is that you can select the engine before dragging and dropping, though obviously you have to remember to do it in the right order.
