eBay tells me my browser isn't set to accept cookies when logging in. It is set
to accept cookies. Problem persists at all cookie-acceptance settings. Problem
persists when Browser is set to accept cookies manually.

Closing and restarting Mozilla (and closing quick-launch) doesn't help.

Site works consistently with MSIE, but who wants to use MSIE?

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to log in. I haven't found a pattern to recreate the problem, seems
random. Problem hasn't happened with any other sites, but I don't subscribe to
any other site.

Actual Results:
eBay gives me an error page telling me how to change my browser settings (but of
course, I've already done what they recommend to no avail).

Expected Results:
It should have accepted the cookie, or let the site read the cookie, and log me in.

I was using Mozilla 1.1 Upgraided to Mozilla 1.3 with no change. Had to
subsequently change my theme, but no change to problem.

Haven't tried recreating the problem with Linux/Mozilla. I'll leave that to you.

Good luck.
reporter: can you please try mozilla 1.4 alpha or a recent trunk build of
mozilla? thank you!
I can confirm the general behavior, but cannot reproduce it with ebay. Just had
the problem with http://www.worldbookonline.com, keeps on telling me my browser
does not accept cookies, regardless of privacy level. Have seen that behavior
for some time now (like 3 weeks or so) with other pages as well, but don't
remember which anymore. Am using Moz 1.4a on Win 2k, also experienced it today
at work with a recent build (around 20030424) on Win NT - I first noticed the
problem after the privacy settings for cookies had been introduced.
worksforme with 2004041608 mozilla 1.7 branch build on windows XP. no cookie
problems at ebay.com
