User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 Within the Bookmark Manager when creating a new folder either through File -> New -> Folder, the 'New Folder' button, or the 'New Folder' context menu option. The default name of New Folder is assigned, and the 'Properties for "New Folder"' popup displays. The default name (New Folder) is selected in the name edit field. Enter a new name, and select OK. As I am writing this, I use 'Test'. The 'New Folder' entry is present in the bookmark manager, and selected. The name is displayed as 'New Folder', not as 'Test'. The same thing applies when renaming a folder - the new name does not display in the list. Note that when renaming a folder, the correct name _is_ displayed within the 'Properties' window. In order to get the correct folder name to display, any of the following options work: - "Properties" context menu option - Rename context menu option sometimes causes the list entry to refresh, before the properties window pops up. - 'Copy' context menu option - 'Open in New Window' context menu option - choose 'New Folder' from context menu does cause the original folder to refresh with the correct name - 'move bookmarks' context menu option, followed by "OK", followed by Edit->Undo The following actions do NOT cause the correct name to display: - Choose 'expand' from context menu - double click - Choose 'paste' from context menu - Choose 'rename' from the context menu. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select 'New Folder' from the Bookmark Manager context menu, File Menu, or toolbar 2. Enter the name of a new folder in the Properties dialog 3. Select OK or hit Enter Actual Results: The folder name in the bookmark manager remains the same. See 'Details' for additional details. Expected Results: The folder name should refresh within the bookmark manager list upon change of name. No additional info
Summary: Create bookmark folder and assign new folder name - still shows as 'New Folder' → Create a new bookmark folder and assign a folder name - still shows as 'New Folder'

Reporter, I can't reproduce this in the latest nightly build: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/
