User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 When you try to access an URL that includes a port number, e.g. http://www.sojourn3.org:8080, Mozilla does not access that URL. I've not tried other sites (because I don't know others) that have port numbers in the URL. I have tried this with Mozilla 1.3 on PC and Linux, and 1.4a on Linux. IE on the PC would access the page, and 'links' and 'lynx' on Linux would access the URL. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. type http://www.sojourn3.org:8080 into address bar 2. hit return 3. Actual Results: The status says accessing www.sojourn3.org, then after a while it times out. (Could it be trying port 80? Port 80 is not enabled on target machine.) Expected Results: Presented the home page for Sojourn3.

wfm with win2k build 200410..
WFM 20030328 Windows Their could be a firewall or something go try some different sites.
The site that I was trying had originally not had dns, and I entered it locally into the hosts file. They recently changed the site for the website and add dns... Mozilla was getting the address from the host file, while links and lynx were getting it from dns. Sorry for the confusion and non-bug report. Tom.
