The error message on a failed file transfer seems a trifle obscure.

As a second item, downloads seems to be causing more problems on my computers with recent builds. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Connect to the IBM Support site 2.Attempt to download a file 3.File transfer will fail erratically Actual Results: Download Manager pops up a box with an message that a file could not be copied because the source file could not be read. Expected Results: A clearer message that the file download failed might be more useful.

(In reply to comment #1) > Created an attachment (id=120365) > Screen shot of the error message popup. > I think this is a valid bug. Go here: http://rense.com/general52/chair.htm Try to save the pictures, or Complete Web Page, or HTML only webpage. Download manager shows 'failed', but the downloaded stuff seem fine. Using Moz 1.7 RC1 on Win XP. Confirmed that 1.6 is free of this bug.

Does this happen with every file you're trying to download? Does opening the URL "about:plugins" fix this bug?

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
