The "loop animated GIFs only once" option is great, but it would be nice if I
could make the GIF animate again by hovering the mouse over it. That way, I
could see the animations, but only when I want to. If this setting were in the
CSS settings, I could see how to do that...

reanimating the images just by hovering them could be a little "dangerous"
because just as soon as you move your mouse around the page then every image
that is hovered would start again to move and the peace of mind would go away ;-)
I hope that you don't mind a context menu for the same action.
