Page info says :
The image “http://img.i2as.com/i2as/619-6656-400x400-Quiz_arena_h.gif” cannot be
displayed, because it contains errors.
But save the file on disk and open it and Mozilla will display it well.
Moz 1.3 does not seem to have this problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type this url : http://img.i2as.com/i2as/619-6656-400x400-Quiz_arena_h.gif
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Nothing is shown
Expected Results:
Image should be displayed
This works fine for me (1.4a on win2k)
Are you trying to load it directly, (i.e. from the
URL as provided) or is it part of a webpage and you
aren't seeing it there.

I first see nothing in the webpage where it should be.
Then I tried the direct URL without more success.
Must I create a brand new profile to test this bug and see if it is not due to
bad preferences or parameters ?
Well there could be a number of preferences that prevent
this image from displaying, going through the preference
list might help (creating a new profile would show
a problem with your existing profile as well).
Prefs to look at are under
Edit->Preferences->Privacy&Security->Images
If this site is "blocked" from showing images, you wouldn't
see the image as well (Tools->Image Manager), but that
should show the "image has errors" text).

I have to apologize :
my "images manager" was blocking this address ! (shame on me : however, the
strange message in the Page Info is... strange)
BtW, I can not create a new profile. In fact, I can, but I can not use it : it
makes Mozilla eat all the CPU and it remains stuck... :-(

I believe that if their is NO "alt" associated with the image,
we automatically add this "alt" to it, in case the image
can't be shown. I was surprised you saw it (with it being blocked)
which is why I didn't originally suggest this). Since when I
block it, I just see a blank screen, no text. Some other pref
might be set that make this happen.
Don't know WHY a new profile isn't working?
Is pipelining enabled (Edit->Preferences->HttpNetworking)
(not sure if you can either get this far if it is locked up)
