Steps to reproduce

1. Inside Setttings change AV1 Image File (AVIF) to Always Ask.
2. Reopen the dropdown and choose Use other… and then cancel.

Expected result

1. AV1 Image File (AVIF) is Always Ask.

Actual result

• AV1 Image File (AVIF) is Open in Nightly.

Regression range

• Happens after bug 2018560.

• Refreshing the page will show the correct option.

Verified fixed with Firefox 151.0a1 (2026-04-15) on Windows 11, macOS 13 and Ubuntu 24. The previous action is correctly restored after following steps from comment 0. Note that bug 2032378 was encountered.
