Closed Bug 202524 Opened 21 years ago Closed 21 years ago

Submit actions on URLs seem to crash Mozilla. I crashed just after sending my first bug report, same as when I submitted a request to amazon.com's alert web site

Event Category:	None
Event ID:	4097
Date: 4/18/2003
Time: 7:38:02 AM
User: N/A
Computer:	WIN2K
Description:
The application, mozilla.exe, generated an application error The error occurred
on 04/18/2003 @ 07:38:02.770 The exception generated was c0000005 at address
77FCB7AE (RtlZeroHeap)
Data:
[snipped due to warning at next page that too many characters were submitted]

When I first tried to send a bug (this is the second bug) Mozilla crashed at the
submit button. This time, it was successful in getting me to the warning page
of too many characters (I sent Win2k's Dr. Watson debug info). This time
Mozilla behaved, for I got to the next screen saying there were too many characters.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit a site with a Submit button
2. Click Submit
3. See if Mozilla crashes

Actual Results:
Any spawned browsers or windows branching from the initial mozilla session,
including mail and news, all crash.

Expected Results:
Remained opened, completed the task, and continued to whatever referring web
page the destination directs it to. Also, keep all Mozilla windows open.

Simply received a Dr. Watson error and included the application log from Windows
2000's event viewer. My version of Windows 2000 is directly from Microsoft and
is fully patched.
Maybe a DUP of Bug 202439 frequent crashes when closing/dismissing windows
can you have a look at your buildID?
BuildID 2003041704 is ok, 2003041709 and 2003041713 are showing this bug.
WFM on WinXP SP1 trunk build 2003041704 knowing that I've pressed no less than
~30 submit buttons today.
Reporter:
Please upgrade to todays build. Yesterdays build is broken due to bug 202439.

Please reopen if you see this with 20030418
