User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
When searching Google for images, if I keep clicking on next to see the next set
of search results, or if I type in a new search keyword, and press enter, I
occasionally do not get the correct result set, but instead, get a single image.
Sometimes the image looks like it is from the result set, and sometimes it is a
bit or piece of Google's artwork.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type in "www.google.com" (without the quotes), press enter.
2. Click on images.
3. Type "cow" (without the quotes) into the Google search box, and press enter,
a result set should come up.
4. Next, type "pig" (without the quotes) into the Google search box, and press
enter.
5. Next, type "chicken" (without the quotes) into the Google search box, and
press enter, a single image will come up.
Actual Results:
1. Goole search page presented.
2. Google image search page presented.
3. Google image search result set presented with images of cows.
4. Google image search result set presented with images of pigs.
5. Single image of a chicken presented.
Note that from this point on, some of the images in the searched result are
sometimes replaced with Google images. And Mozilla is a little flaky from this
point on.
Expected Results:
Mozilla should always show Google's result set.
I encounter many strange problems with searching Google with Mozilla (or
Netscape, for that matter). This is the one that I could reproduce.

This would appear to be a dup of bug 195746 . Reporter - I'd suggest reading
the report for bug 195746 and getting the current daily build.

This is right after the "G" "o" "gle" images appeared instead of my search
results. When I used the back button to go back to the search results again,
the image which appear instead of the results was now corrupt.

I can reproduce this too...
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Preferences / Advanced / HTTP Network
Direct Connection - Enable Keep-Alive and Enable Pipelining is Checked
Proxy Connection - Enable Keep-Alive and Enable Pipelining is Checked
I am connected directly with a DSL router - no proxy is setup.
I'm not sure if it's related or a different bug, but sometimes I also get a
dialog box asking me what I would like to use to open my google search results,
or save the page. Sorry, I don't recall the mime/type displayed.
It should also be noted that the images which show up instead of search results
no longer display correctly when I go back. I've attached a screen shot of the
corrupted image.

I just upgraded to Mozilla 1.4 on XP and I am no longer able to reproduce this.
I can reproduce it using 1.3 which I still have installed on my system.
Mozilla 1.4
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Both browserse have the same preferences as last time.
I think Someone somewhere fixed this. Feel free to close.
I'm marking this bug worksforme per Russell's comments. Thank you for following up.
