In Mail/News, select any message (in either of the three-pane views).  Hide the 
message pane, then redisplay it (using either View | Show/Hide | MessagePane, or 
clicking on the dragspot in the splitter bar).  New pane is updated with headers 
(in whichever mode headers are being shown), but the message body is not 
repainted; instead, whatever was there before is displayed.  Expanding or 
contracting headers, or selecting another message, repaints everything OK.

This is very closely related to Bug 163749 (similar symptom, different way of 
getting there, and neither existed in 1.3 Final); it is also somewhat related to 
Bug 167468.
