I cannot reproduce this on command but it happens fairly regularly.
New mail arrives for the second mail account.
The green flag appears beside the account but the count is not updated.
If you click on the mail folder for the account the count is updated.

I have filters in place to toss mail to directories.

You should use a better format for images. BMP a very big and a Gif or Jpeg
would be smaller...
