Cannot logon at http://www.itradecimb.com/
I've registered a guest a/c to report this problem.
User ID: mozilla
Password: m0zilla
The above should work until they delete this userid, probably by March 26, 2003.
Please test with IE6 to verify that the above login works before trying Moz1.3

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit https://www.itradecimb.com/bin/cliLogin.asp
2. Try Logon using User ID: mozilla Password: m0zilla
3. Note password will probably work till March 26, 2003

Actual Results:
Logon successful

Expected Results:
Sometimes I get no response, sometimes I get a "Logon Error. Check password"
message.
confirming using build 2003042112 on Win2k.

hmm.. march 26 long gone.. did you mean april 26? i haven't tried IE yet, but
it definitely doesn't work from my 2003042208 linux trunk build.
oops, should be user id mozilla may be deleted by website by April 26. The user
id provided worked as of 02:30:00 GMT April 23. I managed to login using IE6.
Oh dear, www.itradecimb.com has now disabled user id: mozilla. Whoever who is
going to investigate this problem can register to obtain a temporary user id for
free at www.itradecimb.com. Alternatively, email me and I register a different
user id for you.
hmm, no activity here. feels like there're more interesting bugs to pursue than
this one. This round, MSIE scores with http://www.itradecimb.com
You might want to try 1.4rc2 to see if it works; lots of cookie changes have
gone in since 1.3. alternatively, please do the following:

1) check your cookie and javascript preferences
(Edit->Prefs->Privacy&Security->Cookies and Edit->Prefs->Advanced->Scripts&Plugins)

2) check that you're not blocking cookies from the site (the 'cookie sites' tab
under Tools->Cookie Manager)

3) if the above look okay, generate a cookie log for the site (instructions for
windows can be found at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193951#c1,
same idea on linux), and attach it here.

thanks!
Thanks for responding.

I've currently using 1.4rc1 and the test results are...

1) check your cookie and javascript preferences - DONE. nothing disabled.

2) check that you're not blocking cookies from the site - DONE.

3) cookie.log attached in previous submission. When I try to logon, I get a
message box "[JavaScript Application]" which says "Log on error! Please check
your password and connection!" This message does not appear if I use MSIE.

thanks
the cookie log looks okay to me - as a last thing to try, you might want to test
with a new profile just to make sure you don't have legacy prefs hanging around
(this does happen).

otherwise, a perusal of the javascript source for the site might reveal what
exact tests it's performing and why it throws the error.

this may not be a cookie problem...
I created and used a new profile as you suggested. The problem persists. I could
not logon succesfully.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
