203028 - Exclusive selection in calendar list

The context menu in the "Calendars" view needs an exclusive selection, that
would deactivate all other calendars and just activate the currently selected
one. If I wanted to just display the events of one of my calendars (I got 6) it
is quite cumbersome to deselect 5 times...

I'll let Mike make the call, but I don't think this would be necessary.  It adds
an extra UI element for which there is already a way to do it.  Also, if you
look at most programs from graphics to other things where you can have multiple
things showing at once, then it is a series of check boxes or some variant thereof.

I don't currently have Calendar installed, but to aid in hiding/showing multiple
calendars at once, you should be able to multi-select the calendars and then
make a single click in the show calendar column to show/hide all of the selected
calendars simultaneously.

Bug 236876 asked for this same idea, but suggested it be done by Alt+click on a
calendar checkbox.  That way there's no real added UI.

Actually from a usability point of view (expercience from a company I installed Sunbird at) people want this. Currently there's a tab for the month-view or calendar-names. It would be handy to view the calendar and also be able to choose which calendar(s) to view with one click of a button. Perhaps something like a custom button with a setting to choose which calendar's to view when the button is clicked?

I think this would be a really useful feature.  I run with 12 calendars and often want to narrow down to see only one at a time - that's a lot of clicking.
