User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030314 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030314 I opened a pdf by middle-clicking to open in new tab, and then I couldn't close that new tab after I'd finished reading it. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Ensure that Acrobat Reader plugin is installed 2. Go to http://www.gregpalast.com/contents.htm 3. Middle click on "Who Gives a Shit? An Introduction to the New American Edition" 4. Wait for the PDF to load 5. Close the tab with the PDF in it Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: Tab should close
An easy workaround is just to load any normal HTML page in that tab, and then close it. I'm using the Tabbed Browser Extensions plugin, so it might be a bug in that.
Tab can be close without any problem, using a current CVS based trunk build, linux. I am using adobe acrobat 5.0.5 plugin. So it /must/ be a Tabbed Browser Extensions plugin bug. Closing bug as invalid ?
How did you try to close the tab? Ctrl-w or hitting the x in the upper corner? In the first case, this is a dupe of bug 78414.
As reporter I'm closing this because it now works for me as well.
