User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401

Mozilla crashes when opening the OS/2 eZine web site at http://www.os2ezine.com/.

The page starts loading OK, but Mozilla crashes when the loading is almost complete.

The crash seems to be associated with PMMERGE.DLL.

This is the output from POPUPLOG.OS2:

I'm running the latest CVS version (Gecko/20030407) on Linux. This page loads
and navigates fine for me. Perhaps you could try the page on another computer?

Noone is seeing this but you, and I don't see anything in os2ezine.com that
would cause this...

I don't know whether it is a problem with Mozilla, or a problem
with OS/2 itself.

I'm no programmer, and all I know is the POPUPLOG.OS2 output seems
to be pointing to PMMERGE.DLL. Why? I don't know. Is Mozilla
breaking the DLL, or is it the other way around?

I suppose that I could try applying FixPak 15 and see if it helps,
but I had problems with that, before, and I don't really want to
go past FixPak 12 at the moment.

BTW, I also emailed Robert Basler, the Editor of OS/2 eZine, and
he replied to say that they has received various reports of their
website breaking Mozilla.

All I have done is to report what has happened on my own system,
in the hope that such information may be of some interest and/or
assistance to someone involved with the Mozilla project.

Comment 7

PMMERGE traps could pretty much be anything - font, images, etc.

It would be interested to know what changed on his site to cause these traps to
start happening.

FixPak 12 is a pretty old fixpak though...
