Shockwave Flash 6.0 r79

I can reproduce this if I remove flashplayer.xpt from my components/ directory.
Make sure you install Flash 6.0r79 and you have flashplayer.xpt as this site
uses JavaScript-to-Flash communication (scripting support).

Flash links do not work in 1.4rc2 using Flash player 6.0.r47 and 6.0.r79. Flash
otherwise appears to work fine except for clickable links.
Same player and flash sites work fine in Mozilla 1.3.1.

Did you remember that URL?

How about any URL with Flash that uses links? A couple of examples:
* http://macromedia.com
* http://scubapro.com
Both of these sites uses Flash on their home page with navigation links in the
Flash. The Flash runs and interacts with the user with apparently no problem.
But when you click on any links, nothing happens (in Moz 1.4).
BTW, I do have flashplayer.xpt in my components subdirectory, and it's exactly
the same in both my Moz1.4 and Moz1.3 directories.

Rick, I assume you are running Mozilla on Linux, if using the default RC2 build,
then you're using Mozilla compiled with GCC 3.2.3 (check with about:buildconfig).
There's a regression on Flash with this version because Flash-to-JavaScript
doesn't work anymore (that's where flashplayer.xpt is needed), and this very
site http://www.garnetcrow.com/menu/home.html uses this Flash-to-JS ability.
See release notes for this:

I'm running Moz 1.4rc2 on Windows 2000.

This turns out to be a conflict with the ActiveX plugin and Flash installed on
IE. For some reason, Mozilla is using the ActiveX plugin in preference to the
native Mozilla Flash plugin and thus producing these problems (for Windows, of
course).
See bug 210580.

It works fine for me. I also use IE, and Flash OCX installed.
Mentioned above, you'd rather refer BUG 210580.
