User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030411 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030411 All eMail providers I've tried so far (except fastmail) do not allow subfolders. Would it be possible to display a folder as a subfolder even if the mailserver doesn't know of this? Example: Folder 1 named ROOT Folder 2 named ROOT.SUB FastMail for example uses "." as separator this would be |ROOT |-SUB On my primary account this the result is |ROOT |ROOT.SUB I don't know how dificult it would be and if there is more functionality behind. Anyway it would be nice to have an option to set a separator character (per server) which would let mozilla parse the folder names and display a new hierarchy level for every separator. As far as I see it the file structure on the server wouldn't be different on a server that does support subfolders and one that does not. The difference is just the folders being reported as subfolders or not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

I'm assuming you mean they don't allow subfolders of the account; even the restrictive provider I use allows subfolders of the Inbox. However, virtual folders (not specific to IMAP) are unimplemented, and an old request. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 11051 ***
