Automatic image resizing of large images results in garbage. Clicking the image to display its full size results in a proper rendering, but shrinking it back results in garbage again. Also, when first loading the image, it starts rendering correctly, then turns to garbage near the end. Any refresh of the window also turns it to garbage. Firebird 20030426/WinXP.
seems to work in mozilla/2003042508/win2k
Firebird only? This didn't work in 20030411 either.
Okay, I had somebody else test it with a week-old build of Firebird on WinXP and it rendered fine for him. He has an ATI Rage Mobility and I have an ATI Radeon 9x00. -- I just tried changing resolution from 1600x1200 to 800x600 to see if the problem would go away and it did. On top of that, when I restored to 1600x1200, the problem did not come back until I did a complete reload of the image. So this problem seems dependent on a high resolution mode.
Summary: Automatic image resizing of large images results in garbage → Automatic image resizing of a large image on a large resolution desktop results in garbage
It's not just image resizing, I've been seeing this here: http://www.pk-s.com/ but didn't realize it. This has been for several months now.
Reproduced using FizzillaMach/2003-05-16-08-trunk and <ftp://swrinde.nde.swri.edu/pub/png/images/png/Alpha/RedbrushAlpha.png>. Setting All/All. Steps to reproduce: 1. Access image URL with Automatic Image Resizing enabled 2. Click image to toggle resizing off 3. Resize window so both horizontal and vertical scrollbars are active 4. Press the End key 5. Click to toggle resizing on Image display will now be bad.

seeing a lot of regression here with the latest builds of Firebird: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040120 Firebird/0.7+ example (my screen resolution is 1400x1050) this happens with: http://ww2.canon.co.uk/media/products/prodshots/cameras/ef_lenses/EF70-200F28L_down.jpg the resized version temporarily is fixed with a forced non-cache reload, but the garbage reappears after a switch to the full-size image, or even with a simple reload (from cache) while viewing the resized image.
The example URL is a top100 site, so adding top100 keyword. No doubt this occurs on many top100 sites, though I can't conveniently check at 1600x1200 to confirm if the bug is still present.

I haven't seen this recently... can anybody else still reproduce this?
WFM using Mozilla-Mac/1.7b, although I now observe bug 242390.
Haven't seen this for months, so -> WFM.
