No matter how I access the Mail window, it only stays open one second, then
closes itself.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download and istall 1.3.1 browser and open mail
3.Mail window opens, lasts one second, then closes.

Actual Results:  
Cannot use Mail program.

Expected Results:  
Left Mail window open.

This bug happens also on Windows/2000 sr3, updated from Microsoft with all fixes
until june 20th 2003. Mozilla is 1.3.1 and 1.4 downloaded june 21st 2003.
If a mailshortcut is created on the desktop mail works, but then the browser or
chat can't be started.

Same situation on W/98 US with available patches. Mozilla downloaded september
29th 2003. 
It works perfect in RH 8 Linux.
