I am using Mozilla 1.4 for Linux, I downloaded the rpm files for this version
today.
I have entered http://www.google.com as the default URL.
Intermittently, when I click the "home' link in the Mozilla browser, I get the
dialog box normally given for download files from a web page, with the "save" or
"cancel" buttons in it.
Since the home page for google is not a download file, I have to go to another
page and enter the google url in the url box.
The tricky part to this is that it doesn't happen all the time.
My hardware is a Dell Inspiron 4150 with 512 mb ram and 40 mb hard drive.
It is connected tto a home network router D-link 604 and a Westell wirespeed
modem to my Earthlink DSL service.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Mozilla 1.4
2.put mozilla in the default url preferences
3.click on "home" link in mozilla browser
Actual Results:
a "download file" dialog box appears when there is no download file to be had
Expected Results:
home page for Google
No Crash occurs. I can try again, often, and succeed in getting the page.
Sometimes not.

Not a LiveConnect issue. Reassigning to Browser-General for further triage.

Doesn't seem to be much activity on this. :/
Still have the problem with a newer build of Mozilla (1.6, 1.7a) or Firefox (0.8)?
WFM. if this problem still exists, please reopen a new bug.
