User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030430 Camino/0.7+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030430 Camino/0.7+ Using the latest nightly builds of Camino (currently using 4/30) when clicking on a tv listing at www.tvguide.com the pop-up window which up until recently displayed the show description is now just a blank window. I checked using IE to confirm that the pop-ups are still working and they do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Goto www.tvguide.com/listings/ 2. Enter your info for your local area. 3. Click on any tv show title. A pop-up will have Untitled as title, and listing will never fill in. Expected Results: Should have shown tv listing description.
WorksForMe using Camino/2003-04-25-05.
with this pref.js file in place, tvguide.com popups are just blank windows.
When I trash the above pref.js, Camino opens the pop-ups as it should. Perhaps the pref file got corrupted.
Try disabling the pipelining and capability settings one at a time to determine if one of them is causing it.
I could disable the pipelining, but it had no effect. I reenabled it and tried commenting out the compatability lines. I would try it and it would continue with the behavior, but when I went back into pref.js to try the next, I noticed that Camino had removed the comment ; from the fiel. So I started deleting the lines one at a time. Deleting the following fixed the problem: user_pref("capability.policy.default.Window.focus", "noAccess"); The autocreated pref.js from Camino after removing the problem pref.js does not include these compatabilty lines, and I did not add them. However, you were right, one of them caused the problem.
Here's my take. Any listing that's "Paid Programming" appears as blank (I think that's because there isn't any info for that program. After clicking a "Paid Programming" then trying any other listing they all come up blank. If you goto another site then come back to tvguide.com the info appears as expected (assuming you don't click a "Paid Programming" link). Anyone able to reproduce that? With or without any preferance changes.
Yes, "Paid Programming" items do come up blank, but then others don't. I don't have to leave and come back. I think the compatablility pref is the culprit.
this looks like a dupe of bug 166797 on the mozilla side, BUT i think this prefs line is included in my prefs.js and I don't think i've screwed with it (i use user.js for my changes) it might be worth getting to the bottom of this problem
This is not a problem for me with Camino 2003061704 & a clean profile w/o prefs changed or with popup blocking enabled via the prefs window (no whitelisted sites) Does anyone have a problem still when using a clean profile? If not I'm going to WFM this
-> WFM based on lack of objections
