User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030430 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030430 The browser crashes calling windows send report window and talkback Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mozilla using the adress provided ( http://forum.presence-pc.com/?interface=&config=root42.inc ) 2. Try to close it before it's fully loaded Actual Results: You will have the classical : - windows will want to send a report - talback opens, but wants to send an empty report Expected Results: Close properly without crashing Orbit skin XP pro US on a Dell Inspiron 8200 Module crashed : AppName: mozilla.exe AppVer: 1.4.20030.43004 ModName: unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 02ac4142
What windows wanted to send (some weird XML format, but can be opened as a text file)...once renamed in appcompat.xml, doesn't change the way it's opened.
Tryed to reproduce it again, to make it a non url dependant bug : - works on the homepage of my Uni ( http://www.kent.ac.uk ) Looks like : http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136269 : was not able to reproduce the bug following his steps...but I think it's a matter of timing, the bug must be more or less the same and http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201401 : I tried to reproduced the bug as explained, but I failed to...nonetheless, I discovered a weird thing : the bug waits for the latest mozilla window to be closed, regardless it's mozilla browser or mozilla mail... So as to reproduced the bug, you just need to close a browser window while content isn't fully loaded...after, mozilla will still work, but as soon as you will have closed the latest window opened, a crash will occur. So the bug doesn't come immediately, you must close all mozilla windows to reveal it.
Summary: Crash if I close Mozilla while the page is not fully loaded → Crash if closing Mozilla while the page is not fully loaded
Still on 2003050211 of 05/02/03
Still not fixed in beta release 050714
WFM. 2003050808 / XP.
WFM - 2003050712. Although as I don't have flash installed, it might be related to the flash banner on that page.
You must be very quick to reproduce it...forums are good for it, because usually the instant messenger features such as Send an ICQ message to xxxxxxx take ages to load...
Talkback ID : TB17241859H TB19531354Z TB19564709M TB19564710H TB19646099H TB19684514K TB19986085Z spreading from Mozilla 1.4beta nightly to 1.4beta release

Whiteboard: TB17241859H
talkback says: 0x01814142 CallExitRoutines [c:/builds/seamonkey/mozilla/xpcom/build/nsXPComInit.cpp, line 608] NS_ShutdownXPCOM [c:/builds/seamonkey/mozilla/xpcom/build/nsXPComInit.cpp, line 732] the only open bug I see mentioning CallExitRoutines is bug 189637
Still present in 2003051108 Talkback ID # TB20012373Q (report seems to be empty) It was harder to reproduce the bug on other URL, but I was still able on the one provided : Load the page, go on any category, choose a post, and close the window before it's completely closed close all mozilla windows (mail, d/L manager, any related windows) Talback should appear
Whiteboard: TB17241859H → TB20012373Q
Julien, do you also crash with a fresh profile using 1.4 or 1.5a ? "mozilla -profilemanager"
In the meantime i've switched to Mozilla firebird, and no bug occurs anymore. Anyway, to answer your question: I always deleted my profile directory, so every install was a "fresh" install
please reopen if crashing again with Mozilla (or Firebird) nightly build.
