Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
After deinstalltion (mozilla 1.3, german version, exe-file with
installer[mozilla-win32-1.3-deAT-installer.exe]) all entries in the windows
installed software menu are deleted.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install mozilla 1.3 german (exe-file with installer)
2. Deinstall mozilla
3.
Actual Results:
Mozilla delete the complete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
path.
Expected Results:
Mozilla should only delete the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\mozilla...
key.
Rescue after failure deinstallation: Load the old registry from backup if you have.
Alternate: 1. Save the registry-path with regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
2. Deinstall mozilla
3. Restore path from *.reg file
4. Delete the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\mozilla...
key manually
grace, can you see if you can reproduce this problem?

I cannot reproduce with an En build- used recent moz nightly- it only removes
the expected entries in regedit - and specifically the one entry in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Mozilla path
the only German version I can find is the zip file which did not add an entry to
my registry
reporter, where did you get the [mozilla-win32-1.3-deAT-installer.exe] file?

Installed using the -deAT Installer
Uninstalled via control panel/ add-remove programs
only registry entry removed from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall was the
mozilla information.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
