Setting the policy PasswordManagerEnabled to false does not affect to the Passwords sidebar, but it should block the UI.
Steps to reproduce
- Create
distribution/policies.jsonwith the contents:{ "policies": { "PasswordManagerEnabled": false }} - Start Firefox(Nightly).
- Click the gear button in the sidebar to open sidebar options.
- Check to "Passwords".
- Click the button with a key icon in the sidebar.
Actual result
At the step 3, Passwords checkbox appears in the Tools section.
At the step 4, it is checkable, and it shows the "Passwords" button in the sidebar.
At the step 5, it switches the sidebar panel to the "Passwords" UI.
Expected result
At the step 3, there is no checkbox with the label Passwords.
At the step 4, the checkbox is disabled and uncheckable.
At the step 5, the "Passwords" button is disabled (not clickable) and does not switch the sidebar panel to the "Passwords" UI.
Environment
- Nightly 153.0a1 build ID: 20260520211620
- Windows 11
