User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20030306 Camino/0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20030306 Camino/0.7
I use OS X (10.2.5) in Japanese display mode and my default download folder in
Internet Prefs is "desktop" (except it's written in Japanese).
The English versions of IE and Omni have no problems adhering to this but
Netscape and Camino totally flake out if there are Japanese characters in the
path to the download location.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. set download folder to "desktop" (in the Japanese OS' format)
2. download a file by single-clicking (don't specify location)
3. watch how file is instead saved to some odd location
Actual Results:
Sends file to odd location
Expected Results:
Should have saved to "desktop" - like IE and Omni does
Seems to WorkForMe using Camino/2003-05-01-05. I created a folder called "スタジ
オジブリ" on my desktop and set it as the default download location in Internet
Preferences. I then downloaded the current Camino nightly build from <> and it
saved to the right location.
Let's try that folder name paste again: スタジオジブリ
Also download URL (my fault): <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/camino/nightly/latest/>
(Change Character Coding to UTF-8 to see the Japanese characters in comment 2.)

After updating OS X to 10.2.6 this somehow resolved itself.
Now the app maintains the path to the desktop (listed as
"desktop" in English) even though the OS preferences are
set to デスクトップ ("desktop" in Japanese) so the multi-
language function works.
Thanks guys!
