Trunk build 2003-04-29: WinMe Overview: With Quick Launch enabled, after enabling Netscape Mapi and sending a Word document the system freezes and a hard boot is necessary. Steps to reproduce: 0. Install the latest version ontop of N7.02 (quick launch is on) 1. In Mail & Newsgroups Preferences, make Netscape the default mail application 2. Exit out of Netscape 3. Open Word, type some text and select File|Send|To Recipient 4. A Netscape new message compose window appears so I enter an email address and send. 5. Exit out of Word 6. Double click onto the Netscp.exe Actual Results: No response and my entire system becomes unstable. I have to perform a hard boot. If I perform the same steps again then the freeze does not occur so it appears to be an initial problem. If I perform the above steps without quick launch then the freeze problem does not occur so it does appear that Quick Launch is the cause. Expected Results: The Netscape application should open without the freeze.

I just tried to reproduce this bug on my winMe system at home. I followed the directions as above (and other variations of it as well), but could not reproduce the hang. I was able to relaunch Netscape after 1 or multiple File|Send To|Mail Recipient (as Attachment). I relaunched Netscape with quicklaunch still running and not as well. Everything worked fine. I'll need to look at Ninoschka's machine to see what might be happening.

Trunk build 2003-05-14: WinMe I just tried the scenario again and the system no longer freezes. We should probably mark this as Worksforme.
