Build: 05-01 trunk build on Mac 10.2.5 There is a Chinese character can not be displayed in JavaScript Alert window, but display fine in HTML page. I'll attach a test page. No this problem on N7.02, Safari and IE doesn't has this problem either.

Yes, UTF-8.
I think we are using different build, I was using Mach-O build: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2003-05-01-08-trunk
