I have Junk Mail Controls set to move junk mail to folder X. When an incoming
message arrives and it is marked a junk mail, Mozilla leaves it in its original
folder Y. When I select folder Y to read the new mail, Mozilla then moves the
junk mail to folder X.

EXPECTED: Junk mail should be moved when it arrives. Having messages jump from
the current folder to the junk folder when going to read messages is odd behavior.
mass re-assign.

marking as dupe of 200788 on the assumption that folders x and y are in
different accounts. If instead, this is an IMAP folder-activation issue (or
something else that doesn't look like said bug), please reopen and provide more
specific information.

This bug wasn't about different accounts. Just one regular POP3 account. The
behavior has changed anyway. Now, junk mail isn't moved to the junk folder until
AFTER all messages have been downloaded from the server. It is, however, before
the folder containing the spam message is selected.
