Details

Using 1.3 final Win32 and Palm m105, The following behavior occurred once: After a full battery drain on my Palm, all information is lost. When this happened most recently, I started the Palm and went through only a part of the setup process before turning it off. I then performed a hotsync with the following result: All addressbooks were deleted except for the Quicklist category, which contained a dozen entries from various other addressbooks. All .mab files were still present in the profile directory as .prev files. Once before, I did successfully recover from a full battery drain, and the only known difference between the two events is that I completed the setup process the first time. To repeat (best guess): 1. Perform a hard reset or somehow lose all data on Palm. 2. Don't complete setup process on Palm. (I think I went through pointer calibration and no further.) 3. Perform a hotsync with Mozilla conduit installed. Expected results: normal transfer of entries from Moz to palm. Actual results: lose all entries in Moz; a few random entries transferred to palm.

This bug is at least somewhat related to faulty / nonstandard behavior of older Palm organizers (dataloss following battery drain should not happen in newer models), and I'll never have a future opportunity to attempt reproducing this. Since no one else has filed a dupe/voted/taken any action, I'm closing the bug as invalid (not necessarily a mozilla bug).
