I beleive I remember in a previous version, that there was a print icon when you
open up a message.
Now, the only way to print is to go to file, print, wait for the print dialog
box to come up, and then hit print.

Maybe you should be able to right-click on an empty part of the toolbar(where
the buttons like print, delte, junk are), and be able to chosoe right there in
the right-click menu which buttons do be seen are available. So you dont have to
bring up the preferences to make a change to your buttons.

This is normal for alot of gui applications.

I just confirmed that this is still an issue.

It is only an issue when you open a mail message.

I can confirm this bug and although it seems to be nothing "mission critical" it
is very inconvenient. This bug was introduced with version 1.4.  I have used the
previous version 1.3.1 which included the printer icon!

Actually compared to the previous version I'm missing TWO icons:
- Print
- Stop transfer

I don't need the stop icon very often. But the print icon would be really helpful.

According to the comments 
- I installed a clean profile: NO ICON !
- I tried a right-click in the tool bar:  nothing happens

So I don't see a solution so far.

The printer icon (and all the others) are still available by selecting them in
Mail & Newsgroups preferences, as mentioned above.  The same preference applies
to both the mail mailnews window and invidual message windows.  Customizable
toolbars is a different bug, and separating the button pref for each window
would be yet another bug.  Search for dupes, then file it if you feel it's
important.
