Linux commercial build 12-02-08-M12 (Linux only)

Cannot dismiss the New Folder dialog by selecting "Cancel" button

1) Login to Mail
2) Select File|New|Folder... to bring up the New Folder dialog
3) Actual Results: Cannot dismiss this dialog by selecting the "cancel" button

Expected Results: "cancel" button should dismiss the New Folder dialog.

Windows & Mac work OK without this problem.

If I used today's build for WinNT 12-02-11-M12 & Mac 12-02-12-M12.
The cancel button is not working, either.
Also, Bug#20646 reported cannot create folder...because the OK button is not
working, either.

re-opening.  it's fixed on linux, but windows is still not working.

clearing resolution as I reopened it.

what's worse is I've seen it crash when hitting cancel too.

and, at times it works on linux, and on time, cancel and ok fail.

crap.  need to investigate more.

can you investigate to see if it is something in my xul / js, or if something
bad is going on in the C++.

I found this problem happened when creating address book.
The OK button is not activate, too.
Changed this summary to reflect the general button problem since it happened not
only New Folder dialog. The new address book dialog had the same problems.

Summary changed to:

(This maybe general dialogs' buttons problem)

Karen - let's leave this bug for the folder dialog and cancel. (Pls change the
summary back).  The other bug on the address book is on all platforms (bug filed
separately). There can't be a general problem or else this bug on folders would
be happening on more than just Linux. Thanks.

If this bug not fix, the address book cannot be created.

Let me correct this.  The bug Laurel filed 21391 already tracks the address book
and is a dogfood issue.  I'm changing this bug back to the way it was.
OK. I change everything back.
Already change summary back to "OK & Cancel Buttons of the New Folder are not
working" for reflect New Folder Dialog only.

the new folder / rename folder / subscribe dialogs need some polish, but at
least ok and cancel work.

I'll log a bug with the polish items I can think of next.

It used to be a problem on Dec. commercial build, but not happened on the latest
commercial build anymore.

All work OK now!! -- Marking as verified!!
On win2k, mozilla 1.8a4 it still happens.
In mozilla mail:
Selecting file->new->folder is ok now, but when selecting in filters menu action
"move to:" and "new folder" the ok button is not active until you select a
parent folder. But when you open that window, first folder is already selected,
and ok is inactive.
Please reopen the bug if it's the same reason, or create a new one...
