Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6

I created a separate profile by running MozillaFirebird.exe the first time after
downloading with the -p option. Following the "Before you install plugins"
section of http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/phoenixwin.html, I downloaded and
installed the firebird.reg file before installing the macromedia plugin
(http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/flash/english/win95nt/6.0.79.0/flashplayer6installer.exe).

After the flasFirebird was still running when I ran the plugin installation. The
"crisp, fresh and attractive theme, based on the amazing Qute theme by Arvid
Axelsson" is replaced with a slightly corrupted, but recognizable, standard
Mozilla interface.

Unzipping the Firebird 0.6 file in the same directory resulted in a WinZip error
as one of the files was in use. ALT-CTRL-DEL revealed a Not Responding Firebird
instance, which was then terminated. This allowed Winzip to complete. Running
Firebird again, the new interface was restored.

Subsequent reinstallation of the flash plugin again reverts Firebird it back to
the Mozilla interface.

Since I really like the new interface, I unzipped Firebird 0.6 and did not
reinstall the plugin again. I verified that the flash plugin is working anyway.

Interestingly, under Tools, Options, Themes, the only to theme appearing are
Modern and Mozilla Firebird. Modern does not display a graphic, and Mozilla
Firebird grahic displays the standard Mozilla theme, rather than the new
Firebird theme.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install the macromedia Flash plugin
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Standard Mozilla theme

Expected Results:
Retain the new Firebird theme.
