Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130
Build Identifier: MozillaFirebird 0.6
I am still using Mozilla 1.2.1 on this particular computer because 1.3 and
versions earlier than 1.2.1 suffered from images tearing up when I scrolled down
the screen and then back up. This computer uses an older Nvidia card. I had no
problem with ver. 1.3 on a newer computer using an ATI card. However, the
reason I am filing this report is that the nightly build of Phoenix April 29
worked great, but I now find that the new milestone 0.6 Firebird that came out
today suffers from this same image tear problem. I am concerned, since it
turned up in the milestone 0.6 Firebird, that it is not going to be a problem
with all future builds of Mozilla . . . Karl Tipple
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load page.
2. Scroll down so images at top go off top of window.
3. Scroll back down and see images torn up in horizontal bands.
4. If you don't see it, that just means you don't have an older Nvidia card,
altho I have talked to other people who have other cards that have run into the
same problem with various previous builds of Mozilla.
Actual Results:
Images tear up in horizontal bands or disappear altogether.
Expected Results:
Images, one loaded, should stay intact.
OS is Windows 98SE.

Probably a duplicate of bug 204374.
Reporter: can you try with a newer build?

Problem seems to be gone in Mozilla 1.4 and Firebird 0.7 with ATI Radeon
cards. Having changed video cards, I do not know whether it is still problem
with older NVIDIA cards for not. Karl Tipple
