i think it's time to get some more details from the reporter on this one ;)
ted, can you double-check your prefs? if they look okay, please generate a
cookie log for the site, using the instructions at:
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193951#c1
(these apply to fb as well)

smells like you have cookies disabled for js or something - i know you said
those dom prefs were set to 'false' in the other bug, but maybe something's
astray there...
try going to "about:config" in the urlbar, scroll down to dom.disable_cookie_*
and make sure both of those are false.
check your caps prefs on the same page also, something along the lines of
"capability.policy.default.HTMLDocument.cookie.set"
also, try creating a new profile with "MozillaFirebird -ProfileManager" and test
that.

->invalid, reporter said in private mail that dom.disable_cookie_set was true
for some reason.
