User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507

In the numbered list at <http://bandsmer.freeshell.org/testpage/prologue.html>
(which is a condensed copy of
<http://www.photeus.com:8090/~ewot/books/teotw/prologue.html>), unexpected
line-breaks are inserted immediately before the first link in each list-element.
Also, the first part (before the first link) of each list-element is
incorrectly highlighted when the mouse moves over it.

Note that loading this page into Composer and re-saving it will physically
insert a "<br>" into the 2nd list element, breaking the (correct) way it is
rendered in IE.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to <http://bandsmer.freeshell.org/testpage/prologue.html> and view the
incorrect rendering.

Actual Results:
Extra line breaks are present in the list elements, before the first link in
each list element.

Expected Results:
The list elements should be rendered without the extra line breaks.

(The highlighting is caused by use of "a:hover" where you mean ":link:hover,
:visited:hover". See http://dbaron.org/css/1999/09/links .)
