206942 - there is no way to set background color in mail window

Currently Mozilla only supports background color setting for message window, and
does not for folder list and message list. Even in this case, it might use
system color for this, but it uses WHITE. I have no white background anywhere on
my computer, because it's very painful for my eyes. I seached this knowledge
in google and in Mozilla help; there is no solution proposed. I played with
user.js, and tried version 1.4.
I use classic skin, modern is doing the same. OS = Solaris 2.7.
BTW, as I remember at my home on MS Windows BG colors are OK.
The bug is almost the same as 121610, but it's different because I really do not
care in which way it might be done. It's critical for me. I will not use
Mozilla mail until I can change BG to grey. I have been waiting starting from
Mozilla 1.000, and now decided to point to this problem.
I hope it's clear that all other windows must also have this setting.
As a temporary solution I will accept any proposal with thanks.

2.Try to change background of folder and message list

Actual Results:  
There is not such a setting.

Expected Results:  
It must be.
