User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Error message as follows: "Unable to locate component: Application has failed because xpcom_compat.dll was not found. Re-installation may fix this problem" Message reappears each time Mozilla is opened. Mozilla opens underneath error message, and can be accessed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Self extactor 2.Begin installattion 3.Finish installation and restart Actual Results: Error message above displays on desktop. I am, however, able to open Mozilla in the background, close the error report, and use Mozilla. Expected Results: Once installation and restart were complete, Mozilla should have opened on command, without the error message.

Moving to XPCOM, Doug any ideas. This sounds more like an installation issue.
